ROCA UMBERT – LA TÈRMICA
14 OCTOBER – 28 NOVEMBER 2021
Monday, Tuesday and Saturday from 6pm to 8 pm
Sunday from 11am to 1pm
The artist Rosana Antolí presents a site-specific installation at La Tèrmica, Roca Umbert. Based on dialectical theories understanding what is fluid and aqueous as a mental state, Antolí’s artistic research seeks in water a relational element capable of constructing permeable landscapes, where imagining a new reality from. For this intervention, Antolí associates the high temperatures suffered by La Tèrmica with climate change, and proposes a fiction where this central power is the shelter of the immortal jellyfish (T. Dohrnii) on which she already worked other times, such as in the exhibitions The Kick Inside, The Loop Outside an installation made for TATE Exchange in London, in 2019, or Una Edad de oro: Pulso, pálpito, deriva, at the CentroCentro Madrid, in 2020. This intervention by immersive character is thought as a compendium of sculpture, sound and video in a performative choreography.
