As Joan Fontcuberta says: “within the debauchery of iconic accumulation that the internet has fostered, a visual ecology is urgent”. Part of that ecology goes through trying to make a sieve, a montage, a story that gives meaning to all that messy material, to that absurd abundance of images and information. “The world of the internet is dissolving the traditional notion of authorship, which is becoming increasingly problematic. The traditional profiles of the art world: artist, critic, teacher, collector, curator, etc., tend to be confused or, at least, to have many intersections. “

On the walls of “Arts Santa Mònica” we will see the work of two multidisciplinary artists based on the appropriation and ordering of alien material. Both represent very different worlds, but they have in common that drive to collect modest images to put them in an order full of echoes that enriches them.

Dina Kelberman (1979) and Jonathan Brown (1967).
