Caro Garcia Sicard [Matadepera, Spain, 1971] Studied Economic Sciences, but from 2002 she changed her professional career to dedicate herself to cultural and audiovisual management. Being a volunteer for the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, it occurred to her to give unused cameras (it was the time of the change to digital) to people who were not given a voice. Two projects arose from this, one with avis de Gràcia, and the other with teenagers at risk of social exclusion. She also works with Jordi Oliver along with people affected by Alzheimer. In the documentary field in 2008, she helped Carles Bosch in directing the movie “Bicicleta, cullera, poma”, winner of one Goya and Gaudí prize, where the protagonist is Pasqual Maragall. With the President they work together on a project where for a year they were sending the photos taken in their daily life. The project took life in the book and the exhibition at Arts Santa Mònica both entitled “Pascual Maragall mira”.
